COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAMSOur optometrists and professional staff are prepared to offer quality eye care. Every examination is unique, depending on the age or need of each individual. Common tests performed include but are not limited to: visual acuity, stereo acuity, colour vision, refractive state, pupillary response, slit lamp examination, intra-ocular pressure measurement, dilated fundus exam.

LOW VISION ASSESSMENTS & REHABILITATIONIn our clinic we see individuals with low vision caused by conditions including but not limited to Age Related Macular Degeneration, Stroke, Glaucoma and Retinitis Pigmentosa. Our goal is to improve visual function with techniques such as image relocation and field expansion. In addition we are familiar with and carry a large selection of low tech devices that can improve visual function.

OHIP COVERAGE FOR EYE CARE SERVICES

OHIP covers an annual, comprehensive eye examination for:

  • • Children aged 0 to 19 years
  • • Seniors aged 65 and above

For adults aged 20 to 64, annual comprehensive eye examinations are not covered by OHIP. There are some exceptions for certain medical conditions. It is recommended to discuss coverage details with our Optometrists who will be able to evaluate and comment on your needs and coverage levels.

If you have supplementary insurance you may have vision coverage. It is recommended you contact your benefits provider to inquire.
